8000ft Media

A one-person media company - set up by Ross Barnwell in 2018 - that specialises in historical storytelling, providing companies such as museums, magazines, battlefield guides, and history groups with innovative ways to produce high quality content.

Ross received a 2:1 in Television Production at the University of Gloucestershire and won their “Best Film” award for his First World War short Unto A Good Land (2013). In September (2019) he will begin an MA in First World War Studies at the University Of Kent.

He went on to become a location assistant and scout for film & TV, including: Suffragette (2015), Trespass Against Us (2016), and Cinderella (2015).

Ross now lives in Normandy, France, and travels back and forth to the U.K. for 8000ft Media. He speaks fluent French and provides help as an intermediary for English speaking film companies and history groups visiting France.
